The mission of Autism Specialists is to provide quality services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. We are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families we serve and helping them reach their goals.
Our Treatment Approach
Autism Specialists offers a family/individual centered treatment approach. We work closely with our clients and their families to identify treatment goals and determine the best course of treatment. We are experts in our fields of study, but we consider our families to be the expert when it comes to their loved one with a disability. We take a collaborate approach and listen closely to what is important to the individuals and families we serve.
We do not believe that there is one treatment approach that works for every individual with a given diagnosis. That is why our clinicians are trained in many different interventions and we tailor our treatment to fit the needs of the individual. For instance, we might have one individual who responds very well to discrete trial training and another individual where social thinking would be more appropriate. We discuss all possible treatment options and together, with the family and the individual, we determine the best approach.
